COVID RESTRICTIONS

QLD Government has announced easing of restrictions in South-East and Far North Queensland from 16 November 2021.  The new restrictions in full can be found here: https://www.qld.gov.au/health/conditions/health-alerts/coronavirus-covid-19/current-status/public-health-directions/mandatory-masks

In brief, masks are no longer required in a facility like a sports clubhouse however social distancing, staying at home if you are unwell, washing your hands and checking in using a QR Code are all still applicable and should be widely promoted.

The State Government Sport and Recreation team has advised council of the following information which was provided by the Premier in her announcement on restrictions that will be in place for unvaccinated people once Queensland reaches its vaccination target of 80% (from 17 December).  “Any requirements for the sport, active recreation and fitness sectors, will be outlined in an updated Health Direction. Queensland Health is finalising the Health Direction and it will be published in the near future.” Until this detail is confirmed through the Health Direction, I am unable to provide any further information or clarity on the matter of unvaccinated people at your sports facility from 17 December.

2021-2022 Funding

SCCSA were successful in receiving funding through the Sunshine Coast Council Community Partnership Funding Program. This funding helps reduce the cost of administration office rental and insurance, which enables SCCSA to offer affordable player registration.

We recognise that these have always been places of cultural, spiritual, social and economic significance. The Traditional Custodians’ unique values, and ancient and enduring cultures, deepen and enrich our community's lives.

We wish to pay respect to their Elders – past, present and emerging and acknowledge the important role First Nations people continue to play within the Sunshine Coast community
